Tanzania: Lake Eyasi is a unique lake

Lake Eyasi is a unique lake, located at an altitude of about 1000m, is an interesting and remote detour in the Ngorongoro crater circuit. It will be appreciated by those looking for something different from the usual, an ancestral landscape, raw, unique in the whole circuit of North Tanzania.In this area lives the population of the Hadzabe (Bushman or Tindiga) who are believed to have lived here for about 10,000 years. This people, about 600 people divided into various tribes there about 30 individuals each, live in the lands adjacent to Lake Eyasi. They are the population with the most ancient traditions present in all of Africa, they have a lifestyle dating back to the primitive age based on hunting (with poisoned bows and arrows) and harvesting (essentially honey). The Hadzabe do not practice any form of agriculture or breeding and use tools very similar to those used in primitive times. They use the caves in the area as shelter.
