Shipbuilding and Maritime Museum Rostock

The museum is located on the former commercial ship Dresden. It is the largest floating museum in Germany. It presents the history of the shipbuilding industry in Rostock. The focus of this exhibition is on shipbuilding in the GDR and manufacturing processes at a large wharf, from the construction to the handover of a ship. There is also an exhibition on maritime trade. Visitors can also see the original ship rooms.
