Preikestolen, the Pulpit: a sheer rock on Lysefjord

Preikestolen (the Pulpit) is 604 meters above the Lysefjord and the excursion to get there is one of the most famous in Norway. The excursion to Preikestolen takes about 4 hours between round trips, for a total length of 8 kilometers. The trail has an altitude difference of about 500 meters and some sections are steep. The degree of difficulty is medium and it would be better to have some experience of walking on rough terrain before trying your hand at this hike.
