Mu Koh Ang Thong, located in Surat Thani province in southern Thailand, is a marine park consisting of 42 islands. Established in 1980, the park covers a total area of 102 square kilometers, of which only 18 are made up of dry land. Most of the islands consist of limestone mountains ranging from a height of 10 meters up to a maximum of 500 meters above sea level. This group of fascinating islands is quite different both geographically and structurally from Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. The islands of the Ang Thong Marine Park have rock faces that rise out of the sea to the sky for several meters, promising a natural environment that is still uncontaminated and to come into direct contact with a very special flora and fauna. Main attractions of the Park:

-Isle of Wua Talap

The island of Wua Talap is located in Kha Bay. Here is the home of the national park. Right in front of it there is a beautiful white sandy beach where you can relax in the sun or swim in crystal clear water. At the top of the mountain at an altitude of 400 meters there is a viewpoint from where most of the islands can be seen from above. Not far away are the quarries of Bua Bok, unique in their geological formation, with the inevitable corollary of stalagmites and stalactites.

-Thale Nai

On the island of Mae Ko is the Thale Nai (literally: lake in the mountain). It is a large natural lake surrounded by a limestone mountain. The lake has a natural underground pipeline that connects it to the sea and from which it receives water. Through a path and after a small climb you can reach a place where you can admire this unique beauty of nature.

-Isle of Samsao

The island is opposite the island of Mae Ko. Here you will find beautiful coral and beautiful white sandy beaches suitable for camping, swimming and snorkeling.

-Island Thaiphlao and Wua Kantang Island

On these two islands there are beautiful coral reefs and beaches of fine white sand.
